The headers are all mocked up and ready for welding.

Plenty of clearance all around. Stock Steering Shaft Clears, Mounts, Frame Rails, etc..

Started playing with some Titanium....

Its pretty simple. We made these Caps out of scrap titanium parts that slip into these Viper Exhausts we make.
Just using Second bottle of Argon and Regulator. Large Furick Cup

Welded up the Passenger Side Header today. Need to do the Head Flange Still and Make a fixture for the next sets Also Back Purged!

I had sworn I posted an update recently, not sure what happened there.

Unfortunately no forward progress. I received all of the internal parts I wanted to swap out on this LQ4/6.0L motor, only to find rust/water inside the cylinders.
It's HOT as hell here in Austin, so finding a replacement engine has been tough. I've actually acquired a few more different LSX engines in the last few weeks, but all with different issues.
Determined to get something in the car ASAP. I really miss driving it and cant stand thinking about it any longer. Most likely just a 5.3L LM7 junkyard motor at this point or a cheap set or Rods and pistons for the Rusted motor.

The worst part is that I started building one of my others cars about a week prior to finding these huge setbacks. It has a perfectly find 6.0L Lq4 sitting in it, I just refuse to pull it back out and put it in the Lexus.

Surface rust in the bores is no problem with an overbore. But rust throughout the entire block means bad news.

Love seeing these updates! Keep 'um coming!

Seriously badass...love to see these projects coming along. I just bought an IS-F so I went at it a bit differently, but this is really great effort to build an LSx backed ISxxx.
