Just a quick DIY on installing a wideband.
Nothing to it really, I used an angled drill with a step drill bit to drill the hole for the weldless bracket. For power I tapped into the old car phone connector under the center console. PLX prefers you tap power from the ignition but as long as the voltage is between the 12-14 volt range it should be ok. I soldered in the 5amp fuse for safety.
I plan to mount the display in the cup holder to conceal it when its not being used. A precaution needed when living in the Tri-state area..lol
Ideally, the sensor should be mounted on the exhaust header (up-stream from the cats if you have them.) by the engine o2 sensor. If you decide to mount it after the cat your AFR's will be off by a couple of points.

Hole for sensor mount bracket drilled into exhaust. PLX recommends the mount hole (or bung be welded) before the cat or at least 24 inches from the blockfor NA engines.
To extend wideband sensor life, PLX recommends that the sensor be mounted 15 degrees upward and away from the exhaust flow stream.
My Y pipe is on the way out. thats why I'm using the weld-less mount
Other widebands don't have to be positioned away from the exhaust flow. This is just the way PLX wants the sensor positioned because the PLX wideband is able to read the sensor's health.
I found a straight part on the Y pipe to place the sensor as per PLX instructions.

 

Sensor mount "mounted" onto the exhaust pipe. pretty simple. Mount kit comes with high heat tape to wrap the exhaust pipe and prevent leaks.
had to cut away some of the heat shielding for the sensor to fit.
I used the stock O2 sensor hole to snake the wideband sensor wire up to the module. Then I cut the stock sensor grommet lengthwise and squeezed the wideband sensor wire in. Didn't have to drill any holes into the body!
I zip-tied the stock sensor grommet back together and squeezed it back into the body, perfect fit!
Take care when mounting the bracket, you want the bolts to face upward towards the body not downward towards the ground.
You don't want anything getting caught on that bracket...

 

Wideband module installed under center console.
Fits good under there. No clearance issues.
Used power source from car phone connector. Soldered in the recommended 5 amp fuse and secured the module down with 3M double sided tape.
Good ground location under there too.
Done!
