Smile greddy evo exhaust

i bought a 99 gs 400 march 31. i got my greddy evo exhaust installed today. holy moly, what a nice throaty roar on acceleration. good god almighty! i wasn't having any luck not flooring it before. bought 5 17 inch lexus chrome wheels last sat. i got my michelin pilot sport a/s 's 245/45/17 on monday. what an improvement over the 16 inch size. had torquemaster plugs installed today , the mechanic said they are the best ones made. also put on the trd front strutt tower bar. i'm waiting for daizen sways (backordered for 10 days?). put the bilstein sport shocks on 2 weeks ago. man this is quite the addiction. i'm still kicking around the idea of srt cold air intake with ecu. i think there will also be a torque converter before the year is up. this car is handling so much better than when i got it. so many people have given me help with my many questions i want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. this car is giving me so much pleasure . i've got a huge smile on my face whenever its time to drive it . thanks ivan

Sweet! I like the Greddy sound but do not like that fact that it's not full stainless so I just ordered my Fujitsubo Legalis R. After installing, dynoing, and hearing it on a 350Z I was hooked.

wow, no droning at all? I talked to few GReddy Evo owners and they told me they have droning on their GS400. Could Evo be different than PE?

I am considering getting the L-tuned exhaust, but I have a question about the EVO. Isn't the EVO the SAME as the Greddy PE EXCEPT that the EVO was designed so the muffler sits higher up for better ground clearance? Did they tone down the sound as well?? I like the design of the EVO especially the ground clearance, but the ONLY thing that is deterring me away from this muffler is the loudness.

It's not that loud. In june issue of Turbo & High-Tech Performance Magazine has a right up on the top exhaust. They tested it on a supra It came second two Some group called Thermal Research & Development. I'm not into a bunch of noise that's why I picked the EVO. HKS Carbon- TI came in Third in horse power. What are you thinking of going with on intake?

The main reason I would be getting an exhaust is just for the sound. I don't expect any increase in power, just mainly for the sound. I am looking for the deepest sounding exhaust, and I want it ONLY to be loud at WOT. Borla, L-tuned, RMM, I classify these in the same category in terms of "loudness". From what I read the greddy exhausts are in the category of HKS, Blitz, Tanabe which are noticebaly louder than the first group of exhaust that I mentioned. Someone correct me if I am wrong on this.
