I have an IS250 2012 and need to swap out my midpipe and wanted to do this at home. I have (4) 3-ton jack stands and a hydraulic jack.

So, can I do this myself and which end is best to lift up if I plan to only lift one end? Front, back or do both at separate times? I was thinking front end.

And is this ok to do this myself?

I am reinstalling my OEM midpipe and removing the Invidia midpipe, too raspy, too much drone.

I personally start by raising the front via the pinch jam jack points, then the rear via the carrier.

Yes, assuming you have a few wrenches.

 

i just jack the front on my is350 and i had enough space to pull the whole mid pipe out...

 

I did the whole thing by myself. I just put the whole car on jack stands. Makes it easy if you have a bit of room to work with under there, especially to remove the o2 sensors.

 

Jack up driver side front. That the only one you need. I also have invidia midepipe with Tanabe exhaust it took about 2 week for the noise to quite down, and relearn. First week was load and annoying.

 

Thanks, but I had it taken out. It was just too loud and the drone too loud to the point it bothered. The Magnaflows sound good with very little drone, mostly just engine noise if that. That sounds good at start up too. Sold the pipe too.

For me I like it. I think it help with Tanabe. They're the quite muffler in market.
