Default 08 IS250 AWD/Auto mods?

I'm sure this has a good thread somewhere already but I can't seem to find it.. So my wife and I have an auto 08 is 250 lowered on springs. (I wanted a manual but we had to "compromise" aka happy wife happy life)
My question is (and don't respond by saying "go get a 350 or f" because I'm not looking for race car, just to have a little fun with what I have) but what if any horse power generating mods do you recommend? and how would they affect the auto trans? I've always been a Vw/Audi/bmw guy so Lexus IS a little new to me. "Pun intended"

With 204 hp with Intake, exhaust will not gain much or feel any different.

I know its not what you want to hear but getting an IS350 probably would have been a much better option for you in the long run. The difference between the 250 and 350 are bigger than the HP numbers suggest. Its not just 102hp more , its much more shorter and agressive gearing which make the 2 cars complete opposites.

Anyway. . As for power adder mods, theres not much for the 250. Or even much for the 350 either to be honest. You can always add a nice exhaust to give the car more character I suppose or add the f sport sway bars and other handling goodies. But as far as power goes the ONLY mod worth considering is one of the new tunes available for our cars. Eithee from RR Racing or TTFS. Theyre both basically the same thing so either companys tune works.

With one of their tunes you should see maybe a 12hp to the wheel increase or so and about the same for Torque. Its not much and for $600-700 (or whatever it cost now) its not a whole lot of bang for the buck either , but thats kinda it to be honest. If you want anymore performance you gotta go for a 350 or an ISF.

But honestly done even let that get you down either. The tune will make a slight difference sure but the real fun in these cars is making them look even more beautiful than how they come. Get yourself some nice front and rear lips, get some BC coilovers and drop that sucker. Buy your self some nice wheels and make this car look as amazing as it can. These cars truly have a lot of potential as show cars. Have fun and enjoy your car for it is and not for what it isnt.

Good luck
