I just had the Invidia Midpipe installed and think I need a little more deep tone. The upgrade helps a little, but not what I wanted.

If I add a Magnaflow muffler to the existing axel back stock pipes, would that be ok? I'd love to save the $300-$400 in stead of buying the Invidia Q300 axel back which is $660 plus installation.

Can I add a new muffler on my own, to the original stock pipes?

Yes you can, exhaust shops should be able to get the muffler that fits up there for like 75 bucks. I got two magna flow's cut and welded up to where the stock ones were. Sounded good.

Add muffler will definitely make it 2 time louder.

"sounded good" ? - Did you have any other mods done besides the muffler upgrade? Mine will be a custom Magnaflow axle back and that's it.

k, got the old pipes back (the OEM) ones and the magnaflow axle back installed with the Invidia mid pipe.

Startup sounds awesome, like a V8, accelerating sounds great too, but the drone noise at 2-3k rpm might be a little too much, windows up or down, you're gonna hear it.

Sooo, mid pipe might be coming down after all. But I will give it a try for a few weeks and see.

I love the fact that I can actually hear the engine now.
