Ok everyone,

so this is what a 7000rpm redline looks like on a 0-120mph run (somewhere in Mexico). We are estimating 0-120mph time of about 17secs, which is not to shabby, about the same as for BMW E46 M3.

Check out our vendor IS350 tune thread for the dyno results:

ciao,

Just curious, why didn't you guys show the speedometer during the run? Also can the tune remove the top speed limiter?

Oh and Thanks for sharing the video with us

We used an iphone to shoot that video... placed it vertically wedged between the steering column and the canopy. No trickery... RPM is directly related to speed!

Speed limiter can be removed.

Cool thanks for answering that for me. I noticed you guys also did it in sport mode correct? It sounded like you were using the paddle shifters (gear limiters) instead of just driving in "D". Did you guys try it in normal Ect on D? Did it feel any different? Thanks

Also great to know the speed limiter can be removed

The higher 7000 rev limiter works in manual paddle shift mode only, for now.

Normal, Ect Snow, and Ect PWR seem to feel about the same. I kind of like ECT snow as it doesn't downshift on its own as long as you floor it above 3000.

So if I drive it in D like I normally do the car is basically unchanged? Aww man

What if I just put it in Sport and set it to 6?

Never mind rr racing, I got my answer already from icy350. I hope the transmission becomes tuneable in the future as that's what really limits the cars potential at this point.

We are definitely up for tuning the tranny. This would be a good opportunity for you guys to chime in and let us know what type of tranny changes you are looking for.

Well for me I would just like to see the transmission hit the new 7k redline while in normal and In D instead of just S mode with the paddles. Other than that I guess if it's possible to see the transmission optimized more or give us the ability to truly shift our own gears with the paddles instead of just limit them , that would be great

Agreed, in manual mode, I dont like that it kicks down on its own... then you completely loose track on what your max selected gear is, and the car basically becomes an automatic until it gets back up to the selected gear -- who came up with this?

I was kind of surprised coming from the ISF how much fun the IS350 was to drive, other than the tranny annoyances.

Rafi, would it be possible to make the tranny shift faster?

Rafi,

As tro209 said, if you could get the paddle shifters to shift as a true manual instead of a gear limiter, this would be the ultimate... Thanks for all your efforts

Does anyone know if it is the programming that allows the IS-F to shift truly manually and not the ISX50?

That's what I'd like to see! I know it's possible, because a select couple have with + results tuning via another solution. Something about the factory preset to make the gear transitions more "comfortable" for most drivers; however, there's room for improvement, for which I believe would a desirable tuning option. Along with raising the rev limit in ALL driving modes.

Please post that dyno sheet of that IS350 with the raised rev limit AND its mods. I've long believed that a bumped up rev limit would be beneficial on these motors judging from previous dyno sheets.

Oops, found the link to the dyno graph. So what are the AFRs on these RR Racing tunes?
