Default Coil pack upgrade = more power?

In my search for squeezing out every last bit of power out of our motors, I came across Accel's recent line of coil packs for imports claiming an increased energy output (better fuel burn = increased fuel economy and performance). I did some research and then figured, been a 97k miles on the OE ones; so WTH. Might be helpful for when I go nitrous or turbo (someday) as well. Currently in the mail now, but I'll update once received and installed!

Link to Accel's website for these coil packs : http://shop.accel-ignition.com/ignit...v8-6-pack.html

Thoughts/opinions?

Well, figured I'd report back by saying that these coil packs were definitely the correct ones and were simply plug-and-play. As far as telling anything from my butt-dyno, I'll not be able to tell because I also installed my PPE headers along with these coil packs. So as long as you install PPE headers along with these Accel coil packs, yes, you'll have a power increase. LOL!

The coil packs are definitely quality pieces though; on par with the Denso OEM ones.

Nice.... from other dyno readings of these I've seen you probably picked up a few ponies from the coils alone. I'm pushing 87k on original coils and I'm boosted so is something I'm definitely might get in the future for maintenance. Prices is same as Denso's...

Why yes I did! No one touches my car but me...minus Lexus recalls.

Low and mid-range unaffected; the top-end is definitely seeing gains! Cannot wait for the local 1/8th mile track to re-open so I can document the increase in passes/performance.

You have to pull the engine for the header install on this car, right?

Yeah, definitely not; however, you do have to have quite an array of tools and the ability to get your hands into tight spaces.

Would be hard to find out unless I traveled nearly 2hrs on-way to a GOOD 1/4 mile track from where I am.

^Wish I had kept my Gtech meter; that would be rather easy to obtain. Still thinking sub 5s as it sits though...assuming it hooks in this 30/40 degree temps.
