I was driving my 2006 IS 250 with the cruise control set at 55 mph up a hill, feet on floor board, hands on steering wheel.
The car's RPMs dipped a bit then it auto accelerated & raced up to almost 70 mph with out me touching anything.
VERY DANGEROUS AND GLAD NO ONE WAS IN FRONT OF ME!
I hit the brakes and every light came on the dashboard with CHECK VSC displayed.
Took car in to Lexus, they said "maybe" it is the Wheel Speed Sensor and parts/labor will be $480.00 and it is not safe to drive.
Car is out of warranty (96k miles) but not sure if I should pay out of pocket for such a severe safety issue?
Has any one had this happen or thoughts on this?
