Just curious if a manual transmission swap has been done on an automatic is250 rwd. I did some research and all i got was that it was possible, not that its actually been done. Kind of interested. I did the manual transmission swap on my buddies e46 m3 which a lot of them do, so i was curious if it is possible for our cars.

Also... gearing. I know we can swap in the frs/brz LSD. But is there any reputable after market gearing offered for our car?

 

As far as the differential goes, there are a lot of gearing options available from 2.9:1 all the way up to 4.78 (or even higher).

Direct differential swaps limit you to 3.58, 3.73, 3.91 and 4.10 for factory options from Toyota/Lexus. Other ratios are available as gears only that would need to be installed.

Have you made any progress into researching this? It's something I might consider in the far future (the 'C' is basically impossible to find in manual configuration).
