Default Meagan Downpipe

So the exhaust on my car is rattling and rather than getting a factory replacement, I saw Meagan downpipe for like $135. I was wondering if anyone here has put on the downpipe while retaining the rest of the stock system? Will i have any benefits or on the opposite end, negatives? I just want the rattling noise to go away. any input would be great, thanks.

It seems like something side, the heat shield seems fairly solid and has been welded before

I went through a very similar situation with my old gs300. Rattling exhaust due to some rusted out bolt on my mid pipe. I purchased the midpipe and had a shop bolt it in. It fixed the issue and worked well with the stock exhaust components.

I have a never installed, brand new Tanabe cat-back for that car in Los Angeles if anyone is looking for that part of the exhaust.
