Has anyone on the forum with an hks hi power cut off and welded new tips to the his exhaust to make it appear more subtle? Even with a rear lip, it still looks quite large! I am thinking to get one, but have the idea of welding ap2 exhaust tips to it if possible
Also, the silencers that you can buy for the hks sort of ruin the "open" look of the mufflers when you look inside the tips... is there another way of silencing this exhaust a bit to reduce in cabin drone, but keep the outside sounds?
(Also if you change the tips, these silencers wouldn't work anyway I'm assuming based on their shape and size)
Thanks

i know you can cut and weld almost anything metal, but my question comes with the fact that the outlet is so large, but is it too large for a smaller tip to be welded?
And again, the silencers by hks for this exhaust fit inside that tip, and make the tips look like they're filled in. Regardless of if I were to keep the tips or not, are there any other silencing methods for an axle back exhaust like this one? Just for interior drone
^^^ custom weld drone / resonance canisters found on some aftermarket exhaust would help drone... my ARK exhaust have canister like in the pic of these HKS 370z exhaust... it definitely quiets down the drone especially on highway cruise speed..
