I've just heard the sounds of the HKS SSM exhaust on an IS F and I have to say this is the best sound I've ever heard!
I'm looking for something equal sounding for my is250. Just like this exhaust, I am looking for a cat-back setup (I have AWD). I already have the idea for ppe headers in the works if that will help replicate the sound.
I have a stock exhaust setup at the moment but want to replicate this sound in any way possible!
Thanks CL!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but your 250 wont EVER sound like that. Thats an IS-F with a V8. The Is250 has a 2.5 V6 so it would sound more like this
Or you can go straight pipe
Or you can go straight pipe
Yes I know.
Trying to get as close as possible. No rasp, just rumble.

I think this guy below came the closest with his true dual bu you might have to experiment with pipe sizes resonators and mufflers. Larger pipe sizes can result in deeper exhaust notes however the lack of back pressure on the larger sizes means less HP
That does sound pretty good. I will likely build it up over time. First step is headers, then cats, and so forth. Was hoping for an all-in-one system to get me to the sound I'm looking for, but all good.
I'm not looking for "go fast" things because I only have a 250. More for looks and sound when in tunnels, etc.

That IS-F will always have that unique rumble V-8 sound. It just shows how much of a difference engine plays in exhaust sound system.
Yeah, I'd have to agree; you'll not be able to mimic that sound output. However, you can replicate the twin-loop type of exhaust design to net you results like this :

"LOL"!!!!!!!!!!! : ))))))))))))))) As I said before, I am aware of the difference between a v6 and a v8. Trying to BEST replicate the sound and working with what I have.

In my opinion the straight piped Is250 posted above sounds the closest. Really raw and aggressive sound. But I know forsure it's most likely gonna be extremely loud lol. Just my 2cents hahah

^ I find its borderline raspy. But tbh who gives a **** what I think or anyone else. Find what you like thats what really matters at the end of the day.
