Default 6 Speed Tranny

I was able to drive a BMW 540i with an auto and one with a manual tranny. The manual felt alot more responsive, obviously, and seemed to give the driver more control which got me to thinking. Besides having to fabricate a bellhousing and some brackets as well as modify the center console, how hard would it be to install a 6 speed tranny into a GS? I know that a pedal would have to be installed as well as a hydraulic housing for the clutch slave cylinder, the computer would have to be modified but would it be hard to redo the wiring and how much time, if it is at all possible, does anyone think it would take. I only ask because I am burning my brain up imagining a GS with a manual tranny. Also, I am not that familiar with the wiring schema and computer or computers on the Lexus. All input would be greatly appreciated.

I have been doing some more looking around and think that if at all possible, there is a way to build into the steering wheel the paddles as well as an electronic switch to be mounted near the shifter to control automatic mode and manual mode of a semi automatic gearbox. Only companies that come up are Magneti-Marelli and T Sport.

www.getrag.com if you can read Germany
I think I maybe wrong, Euro specs Supra 93-98 has Getrag 6speed tranmission, not tiptronics.
I could not find where did I read about 6speed sequential gear (aftermarket), let me think about it for a bit

I think Hollinger (sp?) makes seq. 6 speeds for the supra.
Not 100% sure though.

I could not find much info on Hollinger Sequential but found tons of info on Getrag. Price were kind of high, company over in England wanted $17000 USD for a HD smg made for Viper racing. Sent an email to QuaifeAmerica to see if they can help. Suprastore has a Stillway adapter to convert Supra TT tranny to sequential, sent them email for further details. Looks like to tranny is taken care of now need info on electronic side. This may be possible.

I have also read some interesting stuff about the new SMG style transmission in the Audi TT 3.2 V6.
I forgot who makes it, but it is an awesome piece of work and shifts fast as you know what.

GS400kid, I have an idea of how you would feel. I don't have a shop but do have a garage as well as two other cars and a motorcycle. I actually found the Getrag Hydraulic tranny out of a 2002 BMW M3 but the salvage yard that is parting the car does not know how much they should sell it for, everything from the shifter to the tranny to the bell housing, clutch, flywheel, electronics and paddles. This is a project that I may seriously undertake. Would you happen to know how much everything would cost used or happen to know anybody that would know. I also have a friend in Canada looking for a Supra TT tranny for me also.
