Default need reasonable $ mid-atlantic tc installer

The local Lexus dealership here in Charlotte quoted $660 for a torque converter install which, imo, is outrageous.

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced and experienced installer within a four hour drive from Charlotte, NC? Also have tranny cooler and Borla exhaust to install at same time.

If Swift-Racing is a 4hr drive for you, I would recommend them. They did my TC and Tranny cooler at the same time and no problems to date. Good luck and enjoy your items once they are installed.

I had the torque converter and trans cooler installed by Pro Tek Automotive in Indian Trail, NC (I-485 & Hwy 74). The installation cost me $350.

The owner of the shop, Paris, is an ex-Acura mechanic and does all the major mechanical work (turbos, axles, clutch, etc..) for Speed Styles preformance shop. He did an excellent job on my car at an excellent price. I would highly recommend him to those of you in the area looking for a reasonably priced and extremely competent mechanic.
