99 GS 400 with 65K miles. Was wondering if I should even mess with the tranny fluid in any way? Drain and Fill? or a flush? What have some members done in my situation? BTW, dont know if it was ever even touched since it was a lease and the person didnt bring it in for much dealer service. Thanks in advance.
Unless your car is being used like a cab , & seeing your address I guess there is the off chance of that, I would go with a simple fill.
I on the other hand have decided to flush & I'll list the reasons.
High mileage: My 94 LS is at 137,000
Rural usage: It has seen a dirt road or two in its time.
Reasonable cost: A local Toyota dealer whom I have confirmed has BG PF5 flush machine will perform the service for $99.00!
Somewhere at the website below is a search engine that will let you find who has a flushing machine in your zip code. I am even going to run their recommended quick clean (106 ) prior to the process. http://www.bgprod.com
Re: Ahh, to fill or to flush? That is the question.
