Long story short I dropped the transmission pan to swap filters and found this wire just dangling. There is only one place it looks like it could go but it's defintely not tight in that location. Not sure if there is a o ring that needs to be around it or what. I can't find any info on here with the search so I decided to post this up.

If it is anything like the GS400 trans, which it is, it goes into this hole

there is an o-ring, but it might have gotten flattened due to the heat and it being in there for so long. I've never had to changed one.

Thanks for the images. Yeah the O-ring is squished I put it in that hole highlighted and it kinda seems the filter helps keep it in. I put it back together and still have my shifting issue so going to throw a transmission at it in the next month or so.
