Default is300 turbo with stock ecu

i am thinking of putting an ebay turbo into my 2001 is300. i know how to do everything except i dont want to mess with the ecu. i was wondering if there is anyway around getting a new one. the boost would only be around 5 or 6.

There really isn't any way to turbo the car safely and NOT mess with the ECU / tuning side. Sounds like you have much more reading and research to do. Also check out my.is forums

like above, you can run a piggy back and alter fuel and ignition map.

Greddy Emanage is a start. otherwise you should seriously consider stand alone.

AEM has a pretty solid stand alone thats relatively affordable.
