First time at the track with the new car. Its a 2014 IS350 Fsport RWD 8spd.
Stock, Full weight, tire pressure at 38psi.

Runs were done in manual mode using paddle shifters and Sport+
I think 13's are possible as she sits.

That's pretty darn good. I think you could definitely get into the 13's with some better tires and a better 60ft. Shifts were right on IMO as this thing makes peak power at 6400. I don't know about you, but I think this car isn't much on the low end but impresses me with its top end roll power for what it is.

I remember reading some place that in Sports modes and at WOT the transmission shifted at redline. Have you tried using Sport mode but not shifting manually? That would do away with any error in manual shifting. Just a thought.

Aloha,
Larry

Long John, I see where traction control was off. Did you hold the button down to turn it almost all the way off or just push it once. Apparently the "pedal dance" works on the 2014s and turns it all the way off. I haven't done it yet but apparently the trac really holds this car back.

I'm not sure, but I've read that it's not ALL the way off until you do this sequence with the pedals. I've heard it takes it almost all the way off. Maybe someone who knows will chime in.

I held the button down for a couple seconds and it was completely off. I was able to do a small spin of the tires and If you listen carefully, I just touched the limiter on the second video going from 1st to 2nd gear. I've also been able to spin/drift/slide the car this way without any interruptions.
When I just press the Trac button. The light comes on but then goes away after a certain speed.
Also.. It'll only go into full off when I'm at a complete stop.

I did a couple runs in sport+ mode and was getting 14.5's constantly. It shifts earlier.
In this run I accidentally reacted and pressed the shift+ paddle on the 1-2 shift. You'll see it shows D then flips to 3 and back to D. It completely ignored my request and went through the gears as normal instead of skipping 2nd and going to 3rd. Note where it shifts in Sport +

At what rpm did you actually shift the paddle? I am curious of the lag time from paddle shift until transmission actually shifts.
