Lol thanks guys. Right place right time, everyone wins?

I wouldn't have time to part my car until end of summer so as it stands I have a few significant mods persuading me to keep it.

Keep this info coming on this diff!

Yeah, I figure Mike here would make better use of it than I would at this time. On to the next mod!

Well, from what I gathered through OS Giken USA, the 2-way JDM unit that's headed your way was specially built and used by a Formula D team. The internals contain the original version Super Lock disks and it is tuned to be more on the aggressive side....have fun taming your boosted IS with that set-up!

Wow, mike, you seem to be one of guys with crazy performance mod on this forum. Props to you man. Last time i saw you swapping in the engine, now this. I thought you part out or sale. Are you still keeping the car and if so what is the progress now?

Unfortunately, time isn't on my side these days with growing kids and an aggressive work schedule. However, I meant what I said in that pushing the limits of boost on this car world keep me interested...the cf driveshaft and LSD are a major contributing factor - 2 must have mods for me in conjunction with my light weight wheels and 2 piece rotors. I'll have everything up and running in a few months.

Anxiously awaiting a response from OS Giken! I'm looking at turning down the 2way LSD...I just can't have it locking up drift style on hard decels. Really hoping it can be done based on the info you guys provided as well research I've done on 2way. Converting the unit to a true 1.5way would be ideal but I have a feeling it won't be financially friendly.

Mike, I cannot remember if I shared this link on this thread yet or not...but here's a BMW owner with an OSG LSD that had several different split carriers and cams for this LSD. He just swapped them out to help fine-tune his particular needs :

^Actually, the cam might be the same above; the only thing that might be different the centers where the ramp angle is different.

Good to hear that the cost to switch over to a 1.5way isn't too much.

Great info, thank you for sharing that as well! I'm going to weigh several options as it will be a solid month until I will get time to work on the car anyway.

I love that these units are so tunable!

To convert from 2way to 1.5way: In OS sales terms:
"You will need a LSD tune and a pressure ring conversion."

I don't know what the part is called, but it is that cam angle that needs to be changed, therefore that large metal ring, no? You know, the one with the uhhhhh cam in it Hope it isn't too expensive.
