Default HID help

So my is350's factory HIDs are getting a little boring for my taste and decided i wanna upgrade to a different color. Anyway seeing as how my car has factory Hid's installed ive noticed that finding bulbs for this car is pretty tough. I was wandering though.... could i use a hid conversion kit from kensun or similar brands on this car? Or am i stuck having to buy expensive bulbs from somewhere else with this color?
Thanks and all help is appreciated

If you have factory HID then you are stuck buying what you call "expensive" bulbs. It's pretty obvious if your headlights are HID or Halogen.

The IS350 with factory HID's uses a D4S bulb. The factory color temperature bulbs are a 4300K. We offer Xenon Depot D4S bulbs in 5000K, 6000K and 8000K. The 5000K is mostly white while 6000K has a bit of blue in it and 8000K is fairly blue. As you go up in color temperature, the light will get more blue but you will get less overall light output.

I personally have Garax 8000k and it lasts more than two years and still running good. I would recommend Garax.

If you have some more money, get the authentic Philips 5000k from Xenon Depot, it is very bright with great quality.

This might help; plus keep in mind that most states outlaw colored headlights.

Here is an accurate color temperature chart of the XenonDepot HID kits. The Philips re-based HID bulbs are actually rated at 4300K but they color shift to 4700K after about 100 hours of usage.

I have the D4S 6000K from HID power house and they are ok. I am looking at this one from one of the club vendor. http://www.nigel-jdmparts.com/vehicl...inon-6200k-d4s
Philips Ultinon 6200K D4S
Product sku: 19477Availability: In StockPrice: $149.99

I am considering this one.

Let us know if you decide to get Phillip 6000K or 6200K model.

Have fun modding.
