I don't have a video of it but I did race a coupe 335i. It was a close one but I won by .2 secs. It did feel like I pulled on it by a car length but it was base off my reaction time. I had a .245 reaction time while the 335i had a .898 reaction time. I was at 13.6 @101mph and the 335i was at 13.8 @ 101 mph too.

on a DRAG race, I think IS350 can hang with 335i STOCK vs. STOCK and it CAN be depending on driver's skill. Even if the 335i wins, it will be a small margin (definitely NOT KILL). Again I'm talking about STOCK vs STOCK.
On a NON-DRAG TRACK race, I have not seen how the comparison yet but I still think this is depending on driver's skill mostly.
If the 335i has ECU chip and other mods, then of course that is definitely a different story.
Also, judging how well the car perform based solely on drag race is not enough. Put them in Nurburgring track and that kind of track time will say much more.
Does anyone knows the track time on Nurburgring for IS350 stock and 335i stock? Now that kind of race will really tell the car's true potential.

You are comparing against thw older 335i. I said the new one.
And if the other guy had barely beat the 335i just based on reaction how much more can the 335. Beat the is350 if he had the same reaction time as you?..
Dont get me wrong guys i like is350 too but the new 335i can do 0-60.in 4.6 while the best ive seen stock is350 is at 4.8-4.9.
In the end it really depends on the driver but I still give props to the is350 that can be so fast without having the need for turbo at least for now.. Since recent talks are about having turbos for future models.

That may be a different one but I sometimes go when I have nothing to do that day. Sometimes, I'll run my car on test and tune that opens mainly on saturdays. But on test and tune, there are REAL HEAVY MODIFIED cars that come out running 8 to 9 secs 1/4 mile. Its a different scene compare to wednesday night street legal fun and in price of racing admission.

The new ones are single turbo. They will probably beat a is350 from a roll or dig due to the stock huge turbo. The older one and newer one with the ecu upgrade will KILL an is350 but thats forced induction vs na. Before I bought my is350 back in 09, I test drove them both but ended up with lexus with no regrets.
