Very nice run...wow, it is so fast off the line, your IS350 smokes that 328i lol. It would be interesting to see IS350 vs 335i.

Not really, 335i would kill the is350. My friend has the new one and omg.. they are killer fast and smooth its as if you are riding in an old e46

I don't have a video of it but I did race a coupe 335i. It was a close one but I won by .2 secs. It did feel like I pulled on it by a car length but it was base off my reaction time. I had a .245 reaction time while the 335i had a .898 reaction time. I was at 13.6 @101mph and the 335i was at 13.8 @ 101 mph too.

on a DRAG race, I think IS350 can hang with 335i STOCK vs. STOCK and it CAN be depending on driver's skill. Even if the 335i wins, it will be a small margin (definitely NOT KILL). Again I'm talking about STOCK vs STOCK.

On a NON-DRAG TRACK race, I have not seen how the comparison yet but I still think this is depending on driver's skill mostly.

If the 335i has ECU chip and other mods, then of course that is definitely a different story.

Also, judging how well the car perform based solely on drag race is not enough. Put them in Nurburgring track and that kind of track time will say much more.

Does anyone knows the track time on Nurburgring for IS350 stock and 335i stock? Now that kind of race will really tell the car's true potential.

You are comparing against thw older 335i. I said the new one.
And if the other guy had barely beat the 335i just based on reaction how much more can the 335. Beat the is350 if he had the same reaction time as you?..
Dont get me wrong guys i like is350 too but the new 335i can do 0-60.in 4.6 while the best ive seen stock is350 is at 4.8-4.9.

In the end it really depends on the driver but I still give props to the is350 that can be so fast without having the need for turbo at least for now.. Since recent talks are about having turbos for future models.

That may be a different one but I sometimes go when I have nothing to do that day. Sometimes, I'll run my car on test and tune that opens mainly on saturdays. But on test and tune, there are REAL HEAVY MODIFIED cars that come out running 8 to 9 secs 1/4 mile. Its a different scene compare to wednesday night street legal fun and in price of racing admission.

The new ones are single turbo. They will probably beat a is350 from a roll or dig due to the stock huge turbo. The older one and newer one with the ecu upgrade will KILL an is350 but thats forced induction vs na. Before I bought my is350 back in 09, I test drove them both but ended up with lexus with no regrets.

Ok maybe there is a slight misunderstanding here. Just as an example the conversion factor from mph to fps(feet per second) = 1.4666. A trap speed of 101mph is roughly 148.1266 feet/sec traveled. My point of "kill" is this, .5secs is roughly equal to 74 feet if trap speed is 101mph, SO at .2 sec is roughly about 29.62532 feet. The length of a 2013 Lexus isx50 is 180.3in = 15.025feet... thats almost 2 car lengths and in drag racing terms thats a lot! Shoot half a car is already a lot. hence I use the term "can KILL an is350" SO again brings my point you had a .245s reaction time. What if he had the same reaction time as you? Then he would have killed your time in the quarter mile, trap speed and 0-60. (.898 -.245s -.2( for the diffence you had)) = .453s difference (x) 148.1266fps (assuming that 101 again is the general trap speed) is roughly 67.101 feet difference or 4.5 lexus isx50 car lengths. I hope that clarifies better especially to most of you that drag race because that .1 sec is a lot and any drag racer knows that its takes a lot to get a car to improve a .1s difference.

I just want you guys to know the reasoning behind my comment since you are all so easy to jump the gun and say that my comment was completely off. Again I still like the NA is350 than a turbo 335i stock hands down but facts don't lie. A good driver still makes a world of difference.
