Default Need Help! Putting in a TT Carrier in a non LSD Diff

Hello all,
My car is at a local transmission shop. They are putting in a torsen LSD from a TT supra. The shop tells me that they have the gears on the carrier but its not going back into the differential?

Mod is supra auto LSD carrier to GS430 open carrier.

IS their a special way to get it back in? He says its way too big of a difference for the spreader. Mill the opening of the carrier?

Thanks for your help ahead of time guys,
Jake

I had an LSD unit put into a GS300 housing which I think is the same as a GS430. It was a tight fit and took some work to get in, but the LSD unit should go inside your differential housing without having to do any machining. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the job. This is the thread I referenced for the installation though :

Interesting MotoEvo, I have not seen that thread.. thank you for your reply!

I just got back from the shop.. The factory carrier is MUCH narrower than the one I have?

It seems as if my diff does not have the arched sided like this one?

I hear what i though was a rumor that from 04-05 their may have been a different housing used?
Can anyone confirm or deny this?
