The two smaller cans on the right side of the exhaust(in the picture) are the secondary cats. The two longer cans on the left are the resonators.

So I did this today along with magnaflow axleback. And I got the sound I was looking for. With just the axleback it was low and deep but not that loud. By deleting the resonators It became noticeably louder but you can hear the throaty/sport g35 sounding exhaust. Not alot of drone as well.

I think some rasp is okay. So far i have yet to hear a decent sounding exhaust for this car.
The Gt Haus exhaust by meisterschaft exhaust is AMAZING heavy cost though at 2k

In essence what you hear inside the car is what is heard outside the car. No perceived drone as the stock setup drones a bit already.

After the first day there was no support welded in between the pipes in the mid section and it caused the pipes to rattle and vibrate. Once the exhaust sorted itself out it (welded a support beam and natural expansion and cooling), it actually sounds pretty good with some rasp above 5k. When cruising the exhaust is near silent and could pass as stock. You get the best of both worlds.

I think when my Joe Z axle back gets it'll sound pretty good.
Yup I did the same thing but I put hks duals ..love the sound but mine bubbles as if it were a tubro engine no idea why

I deleted the mufflers on my 350 and it sounds amazing. I seriously think that people owning a 350 should try this before they go and spend so much more money on another axle back system

Not sure some people like cutting up the OEM rear sections...

The OEM Axle sections cost $511 each... $1,022 total
The OEM Mid Pipe runs $2,232

Grand total of $3,255 for the OEM parts... Now lets say something goes wrongwarranty wise and you need to put the car back to stock..
Are you going to go pay to have all the modified piping & mufflers changed back to stock ?? And hope the dealership doesn't notice ??

I have never cut up an oem exhaust on any cars I have owned.. Including an 88 Mustang..
Always replaced with a properly designed & engineered system..

Just my honest opinion.

is it possible to build a custom mid pipe or delete the muffler and use straight pipe without cutting OEM pipes or rear section ??

To remove the stock mufflers you need to unbolt the exhaust a little bit in front of the rear axle. One or two members have replaced that section with straight pipe and, in my opinion, it sounds pretty mean without getting too loud. The resonators and secondary cats are more forward of this section and replacing them would yield more sound but also more drone.

I will be heading to a local muffler shop and hope they can build a midpipe with resonator (to reduce drone ) plus a universal mufller like magnaflow without cutting any part of OEM exhsust system
Do you think that possible ?

I'm no expert on these cars, but like any system there are several areas where you can unbolt something - either a specific section or everything from that area and back. A good muffler shop should be able to fabricate whatever you want and source any parts they can't make, like high flow cats.

You can always weld on the oem parts again. What if you hit a huge manhole cover that destroyed your exhaust setup? Lol.

I went to a local muffler shop and the guy told me that possible but will be expensive , he quote 1700$ for full system custom made and 700$ for a custom axle back so I save the headache and ordered the new axle back invidia q300 from vivid racing .
