Default just installed K&N air filter

hello everyone i installed the k&n air filter on my lexus is250 and i defiantly felt an improvement in acceleration and horsepower. what a difference a new air filter can make

You are just associating increased sound with performance. The minimal gaines you obtain from a high flow filter are negligeable.

no gain in power
no gain in sound either

it's just the better air flow made your throttle response feel much more crisp than your old dirty filter

yeah thats exactly what that is. the increase in HP from just a drop in filter would make so minimal a gain you wont physically be able to "feel" it. me personaly i stay away from k&n filters on cars with a MAF because the oils can dirty up the sensor faster
