Not everything was gloomy at the Auto Enthusiast day by Nitto event!! I had the privilege to meet Michael and Larry from Ark Performance
They are super excited to develop exhaust systems for the 3rd Gen IS and I couldn't have been happier to be a part of it. Here are a couple of pictures of the progress so far. Not much detail yet but I'll be updating this thread weekly, if not daily.
enjoy....and follow them on IG

Auto Enthusiast Day by Nitto
Ark Performance HQ - you might recognize that beauty from SEMA 2013!!
if they in fact have the dual chamber resonator design then it will be worth every penny..up to $1500 or so
Yup! they do. I don't think they actually produce any NON dual chamber exhaust system. But when I picked up my car on Friday i got there just in time to hear it and see them remove the prototype off the vehicle. It is dual chamber for sure and it looks beautiful and it sounds amazing. I now see why they are so popular with the Z and G (nissan and infiniti) owners. and they are extremely professional.
So now the prototype is being being polished up a bit and I should have some videos to post in January. *crossing fingers*
Looking forward to what ARK will offer for the 3IS.
General rule of thumb for exhaust systems is that they should be as straight as possible (minimal bends) for a smooth flow in order to maximum performance and exhaust flow characteristics
