YAAAAAAAS!
I finally got everything up and running!

I will be starting my own thread whenever I get more time to get pixs and vids. Buuut, it took me a full day 24 hrs (4 hrs was nap time ahah). But I started the day I received all the piping Tuesday at 3, to Wednesday to 3.. Overall it was straight forward, my main problem was piping, I found out I had the start from front to back to fit everything in between eachother.

Overall, everything was a good experience, I've driven it for about 180+miles and I hit boost around 4-5k, it pulls harder and longer.

I have 1 problem tho, I installed the boost gauge (drilled a hole before the intake manifold) and I only read vacuum, my BOV goes off so I know I'm getting boost but the boost gauge stays at -22. Can anyone helo me out with this?

Would it be possible to install a turbo timer?

If anyone has any questions about install or anything I can give you some (not all) details. As of right now I don't think I want to start making any of these kits.

You have an IS350 or 250?

Yeah, you will need to tap into the intake manifold to receive correct readings.

A/F wideband guage installed...or plan too?

Looking forward to seeing the thread!

I still am guessing you have a broken boost gauge based off our instagram talk. lol You can easily test your boost gauge with an air compressor and air wand (clearly dont overpressure the line going into the gauge).

I'm gonna end up picking up a new gauge sometime this week.

Get a mechanical boost gauge.

Old thread, I know, but i'm begging the trek to boost my IS250. Would it be that much more beneficial to get this all done in Aluminum, or would I be fine going with Aluminized Steel. I ask because getting mandrel bends would be nearly impossible.

Inlet to the turbo is fine with aluminum; but the outlet (exhaust side) will need at least to alum-steel.

Are you thinking of a remote turbo setup? My thoughts are that with a customized aftermarket header and cleaver turbo placement, you can fit twins in before the midpipe...if you even want to do a full exhaust that is. I've confirmed you can feed the turbos from the low-pressure factory access port in the front near the oil filter canister. Return can simply be a tap and drill job in the oil pan.

Hey guys I know it's been a while since I got back on the CL forums. 6 cars later and I am back to owning a lexus again.

In all honesty this was a fun project but I wouldn't go through the hassle again. After the Is250 I picked up a couple of OEM boosted cars and they're just so much more fun to drive than this is250 that I built a few years back. I'm curious to see if anyone else has successfully completed a twin turbo kit after I did mine

By the way... I picked up an 04 is300 and I've been eyeing a trubo kit for it so we'll see how this goes
