Default Is a intake worth it??????

Hey guys, so I'm still a newby... I plan on adding a aftermarket exhaust but am wondering if I should get an intake. What do they do and are they worth the money. Also, what are the best recommended brands ??

most are going to say its a waste of money and if you are going to get one get the joe z intake pipe or the f sport intake pipe(me included). but if its worth it to you, go for it

Worth it: depends on what you want. Power, no. Audible note, yes. In which case it doesn't matter what you get. +/- 5 hp is nothing. Personally, I went with an F-Sport performance intake and don't regret it one bit. Noticeably different and for me I did notice a slight mpg increase after I got used to it. (You WOT all day after you install it - it's that much of a difference). There are other options out there so search the forums and let us know what and why you do what you do. From the sound of it though you seem to want an exhaust first - grab that and by what you choose we'll be able to categorize what you're trying to achieve and better recommend what you'll like. There's only a finite amount of modding you can do under the hood so your goals may not be all that origional. GL and Happy Modding!

^^^Agreed. Its all relative.. depends on what you want out of it. I went with the JoeZ and aFe drop in filter. same thing less money. honestly if you are going to spend the money on an exhaust, why wouldnt you compliment it with an intake? just saying.. my .02

What do you mean WORTH it?

You want sound? Get any short ram intake. Takeda and K&N are the louder ones

You want power? Get the joeZ or Fsport and get 5hp.

While I installed the intake 3 days ago not to bad real quite for normal driving. When u step on it makes the engine sound more aggressive and not too much difference in gas mileage. On a side note while I was swapping intakes I found 3 engine cover clips in lower intake box damn dealership last place I got my car serviced. Tried to load video but don't know how to do it from phone. Is a intake worth it??????-image-842219953.jpg
