The car definitely sounds louder with the intake during acceleration. Here is my takada setup:
Your setup looks nice and clean, and you also have the heat shield so it should work better than those that don't have it. I know the stock air box has the intake from the front, but as a general rule, you should always avoid the intake from taking hot air in, so at low speeds and idle you are sucking in hot air from the engine bay, unless you use the shield.

Yours looks like a good solution.

Thanks!

not utilzing the stock air box or F sport airbox that will come out soon will result in a lot of dirt and grim in your engine bay and the hot air as described even with the heat shield. I had the same intake and took it out after a week and returned it becuase of this problem. Joe Z has the intake tube that goes into stock air box which connects direclty to front intake and resovles this problem.if not wait for the f sport intake to come out. Looks good but just some food for thought

Got any numbers on that yet? I don't think you'd see anymore than a few extra WHP, if that.

Don't believe there is a tuning program available yet so I can't imagine so

Had the same issue when I installed a Joe-Z intake. It was likely caused by the MAF adapter or a vacuum seal issue. Either way, this resolved it:

Unplug your battery and drain it for good measure. Just stand on the break pedal and press the horn a few times. Reinstall the new intake and make damn sure the vacuum line that connects to the intake tube is on there tight, that the clamps on both ends of the intake tube are on there tight, and that the MAF adapter is connected properly. Reconnect your battery and start the car. It may shut itself off after a couple seconds of idling. Restart it - now it should stay on and your check engine and trac lights should be gone.

Looks great Sarcoptic. I also kept the little "funnel" installed, which I think should help a little.
