Hey you can check RMM for it. They have a sport intake for the 300 http://www.rodmillenstore.com/gs_400/price_engine.htm and you can hear what it sounds like http://www.rodmillenstore.com/gs_400/gssound3.htm . Hope that helps.

You go here....Swift Racing.... You can the Intake and Piggyback ECU for about $550.

Or you can go here... Weapon-R I think it's about $200. with no ECU.....

BlueLex, Weapon-R has the filter and fittings in Blue also.. I had them customize that filter for me so it would match with my enginebay... I'm sure if you ask they'll do it for you too... As for the Box, it's totally custom... I forgot what the total cost was... Somewhere around $400. not including what was done after...

It could be alot better if I had a piggyback ECU from Weapon-R but theirs has some bugs and it wouldn't be a good idea to purchase one till they fixed the problems.. Or a S-AFC so I could change the air/fuel ratio... Then I'd be getting the most out of the Intake... But for now it's ok and I'm not stressing it since my SRT turbo will be going in sometime this Spring... If you like my set-up keep an eye open at the Classifed Forum.. It'll be there sooner or later...

Question What about smog and connections?

MrSypher - good information and nice pics. What happens to the connections for smog on the factory intake when installing the Weapon R. I just purchased a 2003 lexus GS300 and want to 'nix the factory air intake but need to come up to speed on the "right" way to bypass everything. Is there technical documentation on all this somewhere [or possibly a Lexus mechanic out there?]. Thanks.... Rocklings

Rockling, first off Welcome to the club and congrats on your new purchase..

Now for yer question.. With these intakes you don't have to bypass anything.. It's mainly just taking the stock box out and disconecting the the hoses and AF sensor... Then with that aftermarket Intake you just put the AF Sensor into the pipe and connect the new hoses to there proper locations... That's it for the Intake.. As for the Piggyback ECU, you need to just tap in to some wires... You only need to cut one wire and the rest are just sodered into the others... Both things are a breeeze and you shouldn't have any problems doing it all yourself... Hope this helps..

Cool Thanks for the INFO!

MrSypher, thanks for the welcome and update. This Lexus forum is the best I've found to get up to speed on the latest mods... I'm getting my windows tinted in two weeks and now need to start asking some questions out to those who have had different tints and see what looks the best. I don't want something too dark and my car is M-silver. I've already seen a 15% and it looks pretty close to what I want.... take care - rocklings

They look darker than they really are.. Not terribly dark when you can't see in at all.. But dark enough so you can't tell who's in the car...
