Carbon fiber intake for IS250
hi guys, I am new here !
I just bought a used 2006 IS250 coupld months ago. It was fun drive at beginning, but now I want to add more power for it.
As I have Google on the internet, I found a brand called ARMA. They have carbon fiber air intake. It looks cool. Has anyone here heard about it ? Anyone try this before?

Never heard of Arma before but the doesn't mean it is legit. I had a custom cf intake for my Honda back in the day. Didn't notice much in performance, but it looked good and sounded great with my rs-r exhaust.
If you are looking to install an intake for looks, sound, and minimal performance gains, then any intake will usually do.
If you are looking for high end performance, you would probably need something more, like others have already stated.
Good luck.

dont get down on the little hp gains these mods offer. The best way to really get the most excitement out of your car is take it to the track and do a DE (driver education). My buddies have porsche 944 and they are all roughly around 125hp but those cars are (dare I say) ANIMALS on the track. especially if you are on a momentum track where hp doesnt matter at all.

There aren't a lot of people who bought superchargers for the 250 because of the drawbacks. High compression engines making it unsafe to boost more than 8lbs of boost, Cost a lot , as well as low results of hp gains after boosting making it not really worth the trouble.
Check out the Bimmer forums because Arma has more of a market there than here so they can probably have better input on quality and reliability. Also check out their Facebook page. Looks like they are putting a new kit on an IS250 since they posted a pic of it on friday. (unless its a repost), they can probably better answer your questions there

but i agree, i think boosting the 250 is a waste just because the cost vs hp ratio is terrible. it still wont even get to stock is350 power. so thats thousands down the drain
