Default Center muffler replacement

So I've been contemplating on replacing the center muffler on my GS400. Im debating whether to get an X-pipe or just weld on a straight through pipe. Im also debating on the sizes, if i go with the x-pipe route would a 2in x pipe be a restriction or a 2.25in would be the best size? If i go with the straight pipe route would a 2.25in or 2.5in pipe be optimal?

Nice, what size did you go with and how does it sound? I have Magnaflow straight through mufflers with resonators intact.

I'm guessing its the same size as stock.. I can take a pic tomorrow if u want... I also have the Top SPeed pro Y pipe with high flow resonators but planning on getting those cut out and have a straight pipe in its place.. Should sound even better... Its sounds pretty good.. Guess i should post a vid in the Exhaust section..
