Default Blitz NUr Exhaust + piping?????

Hi guys, i just got a set of Blitz Nur-Spec exhaust for my 2000 Gs400.

Just curious about the piping. I'm going to get it installed tomorrow, so just wanted to get some advice on the piping.

Should Only change the Y-pipe from the stock 1.5something to atleast 2.25?? What is recommended??

Will i have problems because of removing the stock resonators??
should i try to grab the Y-pipe from the JIC bullet exhaust??

leave the downpipes alone?? (need the backpressure)?

thanks,

Just installed the exhaust.
Sounds good with the SRT ECU + intake, but still missing the roar a V8 should have.

GOing to change the piping 4sure.

Should i keep te resonators? I want to do 2.25'' downpipe to 3'' pipe to 2.5 all the way to the exhaust.

The way it is now, i did feel that i picked up some pickup on a launch. I can't put my finger on it, it's just a little crispier.

The way it will be (might loose low end, but gain top end?
5-6RPM )

I am doing this setup because in the near future i will sell my 400 and get a 300 and turbo that.

what u guys think

GSTT:

IMO if you are going to sell your 400 (I assume you'll sell the entire GS400, not just the v8 engine) and get a 300 to turbo in the near future... you should not spend any more money on your GS400 other than to get it ready to sell. You will NOT regain what you put into it in mods + labor when you sell.

Just a view from the financial advice peanut gallery. If you were going to keep your 400 for a while and enjoy it, have at it. But if it's a sale in near future, stop wasting your money.

thanx for your concern Dave, but i'm going to do the piping for the gs300 setup. I will only like to pay once, as would anyone.

I have 100% decided to sell the 400 and go back once again into the 300scene.

I don't want loud. My friend has an is300 with headers and 2.25 exhausts, no cats, 2.25 downpipe and straight all the way.

Loud as a motha*****.

So i know what that engine will sound like with that piping.

I will most likely push over 400 RWH. So i need suggestions if possible.

I'm thinkng 2.5 down pipe to 2.25 pipes all the way through,

I don't know how restrictive it will make it, but it shouldn't be more than 10-15 RWH, no big deal, small price to pay for descent sound,

And Yes bitkahuna, i've been a bizzy little bee lately , because i'm not driving for 2months and all because i got my *** suspended by popo's, plus a minor accident, so my isurance kind of kicked me out, and untill i beat the charge in court, i can't get new insurance because no one will insure me in that state.

So im gonna have a crazy setup by the time i come back to driving.

One things 4 sure, I WILL GET VALENTINE 1. That will save my *** from future incidents like this, i don't care how much its worth, and i don't care that its illegal here, i'm getting one 4 SURE, no more radar traps for Me
