Default question about ppe headers and living in cali

title pretty much says it all. would i have to uninstall and reinstall headers for smog?

Unless you are able to modify the exhaust in such a manner that passes emissions, I don't think so. Do they tend to do a visual inspection looking for factory cats? Not familar with their laws since we have ZERO emissions regulations here in SC! :P

I know you can get a set-up from PPE that has HFCs on it. That's what I have. Not sure what CA's rules are for all that stuff though.

Sad to say, header installation or any tampering with the exhaust system is a No-Go in California. Unless you know a friendly inspection station. That's one of the reasons I left.
