Just wanted to show you a new intake that hit the market.

Has a built in "Sound Creator" like the 4GS.

I can drive and make better sounds with my mouth. cheaper too.

 

5k NT just to create sound? No thanks. Unless it does more. I can't read Chinese.

I might take one if it can create custom sounds, like a fire breathing dragon

 

Doesn't say much, other than advertise the sound as super race car smooth at 4,000 RPM.

It does sort of remind me of the intake on my E85 Z4. Although for that sound generator, BMW actually drilled a hole in the driver side firewall and plugged the other end of the tube directly into that hole.

 

LEMS JP actually had a "sound creator" on their Titanium intake pipe kit a few years ago. I was thinking about getting it back then.. but i couldnt justify spending $600+USD on an intake. LOL

This is not a new aftermarket intake. It is just an intake system from GS250/350. You can purchase the pipe, sound creator, hose and hose clamps at your Lexus dealership. I paid mine, all togather around 130 USD. It make great sound and I think it is worth the price. Highly recommended.

 

Indeed this sound generator concept is dated for the 2is. I thought it was more well known than I thought it would be considering that this part can be bought from japanese importers such as here. http://jun-motor-house.ocnk.net/product/98

It costs that much for a short ram intake? Its not even a true cold air.....

 

It's not short ram or cold air, it just replaces the rubber hose with a different hose that has the Lexus sound creator from the 4GS.

I'd like to hear it in person, not sure it's worth the purchase.

Also the LEMS titanium intake pictures here does not come with the sound creator, that intake is for the 4GS and reuses the stock one. Not sure if they offered something different in the past.
