Default Exhaust system preferences...whats your opinion?

Possibly considering fabricating my own exhaust on the IS250.
What are the owners opinions here on muffler exit.
Do you prefer them to go straight back as in most of the available exhaust systems currently or do you like them to exit at an angle.

Standard:

Angled
This is the HKS exhaust on my 300ZXTT from the past. If we build the IS250 one it would be at of 16ga stainless steel tubing with similiar style mufflers. I know its not taking advantage of the true straight flow piping but its more for look with the mufflers.

On the IS I tend to be more of a fan of the straight-back style. But I guess that all depends on the look you're going for. The angled tips are much more aggressive looking than the straight-back style, which (to me, at least) is more "refined"

I like the slanted look on G37s and 370Zs but I dont think it would look good on the IS

the slanted exhaust werent really for looks, it had a purpose on turbo cars and that was to keep the piping with as few bends as possible/keeping the piping as straight as possible. but as far as preference goes, id say the straight back style is definitely alot better looking on the IS.

like the HKS sport/F Sport, Tanabe, Greddy SP Elite, etc

here is chrIS250's angled Megan exhaust. I'm not a big fan of it.

correct i understand it TRULY isnt for looks...i noted that in my post as well
our customer cars mainly run the HKS Ti
the one that isnt we fabricated in the straightest flow path as possible with a 4in inlet outlet muffler that he supplied
another one of our cars will probably go down that same route unless he can score an HKS Ti as well

i actually like that look
is that one custom made or just the one that they sell like that
it has more angle than the ones pictured from them

I think the only reason I personally don't like it is because of how pronounced the ISX50's exhaust cutout is on the rear bumper/lip.

For some reason I find I only like angled on vehicles with the exhaust on one side. Dual exhaust looks better straight to me.

It's a personal preference thing, I think you may need to make this decision on your own, lol.

Any idea which Megan tips these are? I found a deal on some Megan OE-RS axle backs but they are for an 8th Gen Accord. So I'll have to weld em up plus new hangers. Anyway, curious to what model these are so I have an idea.

the angled exhaust shown in the picture is a megan drift spec. and it's an axle-back so its not just the mufflers. its the y-piping too
also, it is manufactured angled, you don't need to re-angle it yourself.
