Default K&N Air Filter???

I just got my IS300 on 2/25/13 and im looking to do some minor upgrades while its still under warranty. I was thinking about adding a K&N filter to increase the gas milage and to give it a deeper tone under heavy acceleration...or should I just go on and get short RAM intake? What do you guys think?

get and srt intake, its more money but it will be worth it. I wish I had gotten that intake but I bought a k&n. no better gas mileage not better performance. none that you will be able to notice anyhow. pay for quality. I am the worst offender at that and STILL will not learn my lesson. ive spent more than enough on stupid decisions.

+1 find out what your real goals are first before you buy parts.

If you are going to turbo a car, don't buy an intake and headers because you will discard those later.

My IS300 is basically stock, and I just like it the way it is. I like running a paper filter standard maintenance and it has ran great for 11 years. If you want a deeper tone and a more sporty feel JoeZ intake pipe.

Thanks for your help guys. I dont wanna do too much to my car as far as performance. I was basically thinking of getting the SRT intake w/ race ecu, hi-flow cat, and the greddy sp elite catback exhaust system.
