Oil Catch Can - worth it or not?
Hi guys, I have a good deal on an oil catch tank. Honestly, never heard of it before (came from N/A cars land ), but thanks to this great article, now I understand how it works.
My question is: should I take it or is it not worth bothering? The engine is a VVT-i 2JZ-GTE currently with stock JDM twins. At this moment I am finishing with BPU stage, but in not very distant future I plan to go single. My power goals are not yet rock-solid, but probably nothing above 500 rwhp. Finally, I am aiming on a fast daily driver (don't plan to use it in drifting, autocross, etc.).
What do you guys think?

Sup man. It'll help you out if your pushin your engine a lot. Honestly it can't hurt( someone chime in if that's wrong). If my comp wasn't broke I'd post up pics of what mine caught in the last yr.( 1jz swapped sc300). You'd be surprised at what all gets filtered in to them. But to contradict myself, if you're going to use a cheap one, it's not really worth it. Boils down to your needs really. Hope it helps g/l.
It can help on twins, but not really a big deal. On high boost singles the pcv valves can start leaking boost and a catch can connected to both valve covers becomes helpful for that as well as capturing some oil mist, although empty cans do work, baffled cans work way better.
