Default Lexus is350 ECU tuning. Finally possible??

Hey guys, as we all know our ECU was almost imposible to modify. A friend of my got his cars ECU tuned (c32 amg) from Eurocharged performance, so i decided to email them just by curiosity and they responde me this:

Can it be possible?? i am strongly thinking about triying it. What do you think about it??

PD: English is my second language, sorry if i made some mistakes.

Uhm, exactly what equipment are they talking about? I'd be curious to see what their suppose would be to that?

Well, I see they're WELL familiar with a variety of different high-end manufacturers...but nothing having to do with Lexus. But that doesn't mean they haven't explored that realm.

Are you planning on having them tune your car for extra WHP?

i don't trust him. I have read that SARD in Japan can do the ECU Reflash. Other tuners, I never heard of Lexus Reflash. But I've never heard this guy name before.....

Keep us posted, I'd send it to them if you are that interested. Eurocharged is a reputable company, makes really good products for AMG's. My friend is making 450whp+ with a lot of Eurocharged parts in his '05 E55

If' its a reputable tuner, than I see no harm in sending the unit. A reputable business isn't going to mess up their entire reputation from a inexpensive transaction such as this. Give him a call, talk to him about the details. Share those details with us.

I'd have a healthy dose of skepticism.

Jerry Thorton from Eurocharged is really well known in the Mercedes Benz community, especially the AMG guys. They are tuning partners with Underground Racing, the guys that brought you a 1500whp TT Gallardo. They also cater to the M5/M6 crowd as well as a lot more higher end cars(Ferrari, Bentley, Lambo, Porsche) than our 2IS's lool, if that is indeed Jerry Thorton you are speaking to, than I wouldn't worry at all. Give them a call or drop by in person. This is a great chance to have a reputable company make some ECU's for our cars.

I don't know Eurocharged at all, but wasn't the last company that promised 2IS tuning then vanished also "really big in the MB/AMG' community too? Odd coincindence that...

I'm just seeing a blank image placeholder where his "response" should be in the first post though...

Hey guys, yesterday i received an email from Eurocharged stating that the tune will increase 18hp/22tq, and with a cost of 499$. I would really like to try it, but im from Dominican Republic and my IS350 is my only car and i cant do it right now because of my job and my daily life, maybe in December ill go to the States and i can aproach and do the tune. Hope one of you guys can try it and share your results with us!!

Modern Horsepower (MHP) was the last company that came in, claiming they can tune the ISx50/IS-F ECU's. they even decided to pony up the money to become vendors.

last i checked, they're completely out of the lexus game, fully knowing that they couldn't crack the ECU.

i wouldn't trust them with anything.

again, the ECU can not be cracked. many have claimed they could, and all of them couldn't deliver on their promises.

this wouldn't be the first, i'll say that much.

And those numbers are based off of what? Very curious to see if they could answer that.
