I swapped over my intake from my '09 that was sitting for a while to my '12 a few weeks ago without having to disconnect the battery. Took less than 20 minutes, and no check engine light came on when starting it up.

I installed the Joe Z intake myself. Had to take it off and on multiple times since (spark plug change for one.) I've never once disconnected the battery or pulled the fuse. I guess I don't quite understand how you could mess up the MAF sensor during this process??

The MAF is a sensitive, precision sensor and it's not one you'd want to be bumping and banging around while dangling when swapping over from OEM to aftermarket. That's all guys, that's all.

i DID IT ON ME OWN,! Following the Sewell instructions, within minutes my car's tan averaged 29 mpg up from the usual 24.!
however I havent noticed the usual sucking noise i'm used to with intakes nor have i noticed my car being any faster or louder..

If MAF wasn't plugged in correctly, the car will sputter or stall, then throw up a CEL
