Guys,

Alot of you know many people use the GS400 open diffs when going the V160 route for the good gearing 3.26. Most people will buy the GS400 diff and install the TRD LSD in it. SC guys have done it, Supra guys have done it, etc.

I was planning on removing the diff out of my 2003 GS430 and installing a TRD LSD unit in it. Up until this point, I was under the impression that the GS430 diff and the GS400 diff were one and the same. However, it has been brought to my attention that the GS430 is indeed different. The cases are the same, but I was told something inside the GS430 diff might cause issues with installing the TRD LSD. The gentleman who informed me of this, was not 100% sure if it's a fact that hey are different, so I wanted to ask you guys who have experience with both diffs and installing TRD LSD.

Would there be any issues?

From 98-2003.5 the diff was the same on GS400 and GS430....same exact part number

I entered the VIN in the database of my car and it's a 2003.5+ so it has the newer diff.

Anyone able to provide any more info on what's really different between these diffs and what might potentially case a problem for a TRD LSD install on the later editing 430 diff?
