The most obvious thing is to scan it like asked above first.. Although your CEL isn't staying on, it should still show up under pending codes.

First of all, you shouldnt be revving your car like that. Do your basic tune up first. See if it improves. Next check the history code on the car.

Misfiring?? No clue why the check engine light would turn on after 4.5 - 5 rpm. Yeah I would do a tune up, check the plugs and all the hose.

yuu shouldn,t rev your engine that high anyway.. its a safety issue so you don't blow your engine.. programmed in the car's computer..

Possibilities:
1. Detonation as stated before - are you using Premium?
2. Ignition system issue - proper spark plugs, igniter working properly etc.
3. proper oil pressure / vvti won't activate properly with low oil pressure
4. It's an inline 6. It won't rev like a honda nor does it need to. The stock valvetrain can handle it but it will complain via the MIL indicator.
