Default Where to get an LSD

I am wanting to add an Limited Slip Differential to my 98 gs400. I am trying to figure out what all I will need. And who would have one for sale? Do I need the whole differential or just the insides? Would really appreciate any help.

depends on what style LSD you select.

If you get the Supra TT Torsen style along with 3.76 gears you'd get the entire pumpkin
If you get the TRD clutch style you'd just get the insides.

Which one is better? Which one is going to be easier to find?

Both have their benefits and pros/cons. Have you searched through the many threads on this topic already? Dozens of threads on this topic

Uh, yeah cause there are like 20 companies that make LSD's for these cars. All types of lock methods and friction materials for any type of driving one wants to do there is an appropriate application.

Searching only seems difficult if you don't do it..

Just off the top of my head there is Kazz, ORC, Toyota OEM, TRD, Carbonetics, Weir, Cusco, OBX (haha!), Tomei, AST, etc, etc ,etc.. The list goes on.

All of them will be well over $1000, except a used toyota may be around $900ish.
