Default handling

After of owning is250 for 4 years and is350 for a year. I feel like that my stock lexus is250 handles better than my lexus is350. Is this possible? The lexus is350 has more body roll to me.

my guess is that the extra weight of the larger-displacement 2GR-FSE in the IS350 (vs. 4GR-FSE) in the IS250 means that the IS250 feels more "balanced".

Also what options did the cars have? there's at least 2 different suspensions possible from the factory after all.

As to weight distribution it is 52/48 (F/R), on both the 250 and 350... there's only about a 70 lb difference between the two cars weights

F-Sport sway bars are what you need. Night and day difference in handling and driving experience.

Well, the is250 is regular and does not have a sport package. The lexus is350 is a fsport package.

Jeff Lange had a thread on the steering ECU's and how that changed steering behavior. there's always that possibility...

then the observation makes even less sense... all else being equal a sport suspension 350 should significantly outhandle a stock-suspension 250.

(though tires would certainly make a major difference)

From this i think its the tires cause on my lexus is250 i had hankook tires ventus v12 evo. while the lexus is350 has some really bad stock dunlop tires.

Oh... yeah. That's a pretty major difference right there

Tires'll easily be the #1 improvement you can make over stock to handling (and braking).

My 350 came with Bridgestone Turanza tires that I wasn't a huge fan of. I recently got some Pirelli PZero Nero tires because they are supposed to handle better in the rain, which was what I was looking for. I know I already have them, but does anyone know if they are any good?
