Default Where to purchase the tenabe midpipe?

Hey guys,

I did a search, but cant seem to find where to purchase the Tenabe midpipe for our cars. My factory one is rusted and how has an exhaust leak.

Does anyone know where to purchase this?

Thanks.,

Are you sure you have a Tanabe mid pipe? Only ones I know they sell are Invidia and Megan. Our vendors sell them.

Well I did a search and see where a few people have installed them, so I figured they could be purchased.

Can someone then recommend a vendor for the other midpipes (Invidia maybe)?

Pretty much check the vendor marketplace and see which vendor carries the mid-pipe you want and ask them to give you a quote.

Far as I know Tanabe never sold a midpipe for the 2IS.

They tested one, so a couple guys got test units, but it never went to retail sale.

Also- if you mean the part of the exhaust where your secondary cats are- that should be covered under warranty- which for cats is 8 years/80,000 miles.

I know a couple tanabe mid-pipes were out there but don’t think they exist anymore. You can get megan or invidia with invidia been a better option.
Check Kris at gotoracing, he’s also a vendor on CL

There's none on the market. Only 3 were given to 2 IS250 and 1 for IS350 during racing& development testing... Midpipe is gain very little hp and the cost is high. Also is less demand for them , therefore; Tanabe chose not to released it..

^^^Exactly this. There are 3 Tanabe midpipes floating around. Blitz_714 used to have the one for his old 350. I've got one for the 250, and I have no idea where the other one is. You'll have more luck picking up an Invidia or Megan midpipe.

edit: actually not exactly. its "research & development", not racing. :P

I believe that the only way to get a Tanabe mid pipe would be with the purchase of a complete Tanabe cat back system. Couldn't swear to that, but pretty sure. Why not Invidia or Megan? They are far more popular choices. The consensus is that the Megan is better, but is also more expensive.

^ I don't think the consensus is that the began is particularly "better", but it's that its less raspy compared to the invidia.
