Question OBX racing catback exhaust, yay or crap?

I want a little throatier sound than the stock exhaust without compromising what my Lexus is, and what its supposed to be. 1400 for the F-sport is a little more than I care to spend. Im not interested in the hp gains, just a little more growl. Guy I work with has it and it sounds great. I found one on ebay that seems relatively inexpensive to most of the stuff you guys are recommending on here. Its made by OBX Racing. I only know one person that has heard of this company and they told me it was crap. What are your opinions? Im afraid of making it too loud. Please advise, thank you in advance!

OBX has always been a "cheaper" aftermarket company. Kind of like APC use to be. A lot of cheap Ebay sales and such. I have never had any of their products though. I would never really buy any either lol.

There are other options though that are cheaper than the F Sport.

Greddy
Tanabe
Invidia
HKS

All pretty good. Then there is the M2, that is a pretty cheap exhaust that people like. Usually around $230 shipped. Fitment not the best, sounds pretty good for the money.

Never personally bought or used anything from OBX but I have friends who have purchased their products and said quality was just "ok".

If you have a Lexus, might as well spend the money for a decent exhaust. You can find a used one for a good price in the classifieds from time to time.

You might want to consider looking into a tanabe or a Megan for a decent price. Good luck.

Obx ? Really? At least get M2. Just save a little bit. Get tanabe or greddy. Or get invidia midpipes first for like 300. That's what i did first. Well intake then mids

I am in the same boat, and currently considering tanabe + invidia. I think tanabe is the least expensive decent exhaust out there, and invidia gives you more sound. Since I want more sound but not super loud like you do, maybe this something you can consider

Thank you everyone for all of your input! It has definitely given me some guidelines to follow and proved that obx is cheap for a reason.

Just seeing if anyone has used the OBX axle back yet?
If so how was fitment?
I like the tip style better than the M2 I previously had.
Right now its a toss up between the OBX or Tsudo axle back to try out.
