Check your sensor. Is it installed properly? Just a thought.

what sensor are you talking about? I had no problem with the intake until I had mod directing colder air from front to the filter.
I had intake for 1.5 months without any problems. so I don't know what might be wrong.

Oops, sorry, I just noticed you have a 300. My 400 RMM intake had a connection for the oxygen sensor. I am not sure about the 300 though. Sorry.

For the 300 you can't have cold air blowing directly onto the air filter this was the reason why MO never put the Air Director shield for the GS300 the ECU is different....it will work for the IS300 though...

You have to remove the air director and cover up the hole you made that's the only way you're going to get rid of the check engine light...

If you don't believe me call MO at SRT...

Go to your local Pepboys or whatever and have them check what "CODE" is pulled up.

Just because an engine light is on doesn't mean you did something wrong. It is just detecting something out of the norm. Colder Air = more power. No matter what the light says. Heck weld off your CATS and add a 2.5" tube and then you will see engine lights:eek: As long as it doesn't shut the engine off or hurt it, and at the same time adds power... Keep the mod. I bought a OBDII code checker plug it in and check to make sure it is the only error code and erase it every week.

Good luck!

May want to dyno to make sure your adding power and not just a x-mas tree on your dash.

I think I am going to dyno my car when I get my cam gears and underdrive pulley. Hope to see significant power increase since I spent so much money already. Thanks for you guys input. It gives me peace of mind that I am not the only one with minor glitch like this. and the car runs perfectly. Thanks y'all.

someone else made a similar mod on their 400 last year with the same results. The reason for the light has to do with airflow velocity disruption across the mass airflow sensor. With the air fluctuating, the MAF sensor sends an unstable signal to the ECU.
