Default 2JZ VVTI Head Question

I have a 98 GS300 and it needs a Head Job, So I was wondering if i can just buy this head and use it, because if i take out the head i am going to have to send it in, to have it clean and whatever is needed which is going to cost a bit.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2JZ-G...item2c5fc93ded

would this head work?

or is their any other ways to do this? like put a 1jz head on or just buy a use 2jz head?

"Note" I am not sure how is the head right now, all i know is it needs a head gasket, which means head job since i am going to take it off anyways.

Your feedback would be great.

No that will not work for what you are trying to do. You would need the newer VVTI style head.

To have it decked and pressure tested is cheap and quick at most local machine shops and turn-around is typically same day or the next day around here. You may not need the all the work that you are thinking.

What were your leakdown results that lead you to believe you need such extensive headwork?

You need a VVT-i head. What is wrong with your current head?

The lady I bought the car off of overheated the car... head gasket is gone
I notice their was only water.... in the cooling system
So I am going to do a head rebuild after I take the head out and check the block don't have cracks
