Default Throttle Body

Anyone think if the Think Design throttle body for the Crown Athlete would work on the 350? meaning fit under the hood?

Already talked to these gyus.
They are asking for 750$ plus shipping plus your throttle body but they won't accept a US or European one so you have to buy one more new one from Japan just to exchange.
They claim 5 BHP
I don't think it's worth the money.
It's better to find a machine shop and modify yours.
It's not that hard to do it.

Isn't the opening on the stock TB already port-matched to the stock intake manifold?

If that's the case a larger TB isn't gonna do much for you.

it's a perfect match already.....a larger throttle body will just butt up to an original sized intake manifold.

Pointless.

Now what you could do, if you were inclined, is to polish your existing throttle body and lower intake plenum. You could also knife edge the throttle plate for better tip in if you wish.

I've polished and edged mine and its a noticeable difference in smoothness (at idle especially) and there seems to be slightly better throttle response, but that could be a placebo.

Anyway, if you polish up everything like I mentioned you might pick up 5 ponies.

It has a small step which they smooth it up and they also change the butterfly shaft making it oval shape and replacing the two small bolts with rivets to smooth the air flow.
That's what they do basically.

The europeans are also the same but when i contacted them they would only accept used ones for exchange from domestic market so they would have to buy me a new one from Japan and that's why i didn't take it.
